Finding your new home

Finding your new home

The Bay Area of San Francisco is among the most expensive and most beautiful areas of the United States. Each neighbourhood is unique. Differences are reflected in the price of homes, schools, commute time and access to public services. Even the weather can be very different in places like San Jose, Palo Alto or San Francisco on the same day.  I will make sure that we find the right place for you!

Picking the right school

Whether you are looking for a private or public school, the Bay Area offers top rated schools. Parents can choose from a wide variety of institutions. San Jose alone has 92 private schools! Just like anywhere else, the quality of schools varies enormously. I have been through this decision-making process several times. We once enrolled our children in a school in South Africa during a four-month project! It was a wonderful experience. Let me help you find the right school for your kids!

Assisting you with Bureaucracy

A friend of mine who recently moved to Palo Alto, spent eight hours at DMV to obtain her California driver license. The Department of Motor Vehicles is well known for its long queues and wait times. I have been through that and it was very frustrating. You will need a Social Security number when moving to the US. Without a SSN you will have difficulties opening a bank account or starting utility services.I will help you make the most efficient use of your time!

Helping you with everything else

Besides all the necessary preparations for your move, the emotional stress can be overwhelming. Leaving your home and your friends & family and arriving in a new place, brings a lot of uncertainty, doubts and questions. I know what it means to relocate. I can help you connect with your new community, find your local gym, the easiest commute, the best library, explain you the meaning of a potluck etc. I wish to make your move less stressful for you!
